Day 1:
Let us pray today for South Africa’s GOVERNMENT AND LEADERS. “I urge you, first of all, to pray for all people. Ask God to help them, intercede on their behalf, and give thanks for them. Pray this way for kings and all who are in authority so that we can live peaceful and quiet lives marked by godliness and dignity.” (1 Timothy 2:1-2). Pray that God will give our government wisdom to make right decisions during this time.
Day 2:
We will pray for peace in this Nation during the World cup. “If My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land.” (2 Chronicles 7:14.)
Day 3:
Together today we will pray against prostitution.
Day 4:
We will pray today against crime and lawlessness. “Whoever commits sin also commits lawlessness, and sin is lawlessness. And you know that he was manifested to take away our sins, and in Him there is no sin” (1 John 3v4,5)
Day 5:
Let us join together to pray for salvation for every tourist that comes to South Africa. “We then as workers together with Him also plead with you not to receive the grace of God in vain. For He says ‘In an acceptable time I have heard you, And in the day of salvation I have helped you’ Behold, now is the accepted time, behold, now is the day of salvation.”
(2 Cor 6v1-2)
Day 6:
Today we will pray for our police force, emergency services, and hospital staff. We will pray that they will be ‘ “filled with the knowledge of His will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding; that they may walk worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing Him, being fruitful in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God” (Col 1v9,10)
Day 7:
Let us pray for the furtherance of the Gospel. Jesus said “And the gospel must first be preached to all nations” (Mark 13v10) and we should be like Paul and say “For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes, for the Jew first and also the Greek” (Romans 1v16)
Day 8:
We will come against child trafficking and child pornography. The Word of God states in Isaiah 59v19b that “When the enemy comes in like a flood, the Spirit of the Lord will lift up a standard against him”
Day 9:
Today let us trust God for unity in the Body of Christ – that together we will proclaim the Good news of Jesus Christ. “Then He said to His disciples, ‘The harvest truly is plentiful, but the labourers are few. Therefore pray the Lord of the harvest to send out labourers into His harvest” (Matthew 9v37,38)
Day 10:
We will pray for every soccer team – salvation. “For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our saviour, who desires all men to be saved and come to the knowledge of the truth.” (1 Timothy 2v3,4)
Day 11:
Let us pray for unity in South Africa. “I, therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you to walk worthy of the calling with which you were called, with all lowliness and gentleness, with longsuffering, bearing with one another in love, endeavouring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.” (Eph 4v1-3)
Day 12:
Today we will pray against the spirit of the anti-Christ who will try to deceive the children of God in our nation. “Little children, it is the last hour; and as you have heard that the Anti-Christ is coming, even now many anti-Christ’s have come, by which we know that it is the last hour….Who is a liar but he who denies that Jesus is the Christ? He is the anti-Christ who denies the Father and the Son” (1 John 2v18, 22)
Day 13:
Let us focus our prayers to pray for the backsliders to return to serve God 100%. “Go and proclaim these words toward the north, and say “Return, backsliding Israel, says the Lord; I will not cause My anger to fall on you. For I am merciful, says the Lord; I will not remain angry forever. Return, O backsliding children, says the Lord; for I am married to you.” (Jeremiah 3v12, 14)
Day 14:
We will be praying for our government today, that we will submit to them. “Let every soul be subject to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except from God, and the authorities that exist are appointed by God. Therefore whoever resists the authorities resists the ordinance of God, and those who resist will bring judgment on themselves.” (Romans 13v1,2)
