JOIN US IN PERSON OR ONLINE
We are now offering both online and in-person weekend services and we welcome you to worship with us in the environment that you are most comfortable. We are excited to be meeting in-person again and we invite you to view the details below to learn more about what to expect when you arrive.
Here’s What To Expect:
Family, we can't wait to be with you again, and we will not turn anyone away.
Our church service times will be as follows:
Sunday 8:30 am
Sunday 10:30 am
Sunday 5:00 pm
Our ONLINE CHURCH services will continue to be broadcast live:
8:30 am & 5:00 pm
Church services will take place in the Main Auditorium as usual and we will have two Family Rooms:
Dr. Bev Auditorium
Theatre (no youth service until further notice)
We have adjusted our services to provide a touch-less experience and all high-volume areas on site will be thoroughly sanitized between services.
Additional hand-sanitizing stations will be placed throughout the building.
Temperature will be taken at the door
During services, offering bags will not be passed. We encourage you to give online HERE. However, there will be offering drop boxes placed around our auditorium and at other key locations.
To ensure the comfort and safety of all guests and members, face coverings are required for all staff, volunteers and guests.
Childcare areas will be adjusted and there will be a limited number of children allowed per classroom.
Pre-registration will be available for your child in advance to attend services and Children's World.
CHILDREN'S WORLD IN-PERSON PLAN
Our Children’s World classes will be running for all age groups as usual and they cannot wait to see your children, to teach them the Word of God.
Here are some additional steps we are taking to keep our kids’ environments safe (and fun) for your family!
Parents must REGISTER themselves and their children.
REGISTRATION for adults and children should be done on the same REGISTRATION event page, and the venue must be selected on the REGISTRATION page.
On (or before) arrival at church, using the CHURCH CENTER APP, parents should:
Check-in themselves to the CHURCH SERVICE check-in event and select the TIME of the service they are attending.
Select “Start over” on the app to display the CHILDREN’S MINISTRY check-in event to check-in the children.
Do a pre-check-in for each child attending Children’s Ministry to obtain a QR code on the app (make sure the correct classroom is selected according to each child’s age).
When arriving at the Children’s World counter, the QR code will be scanned, completing an INSTANT check-in for all children who were pre-checked in.
LABELS will be printed INSTANTLY and should be displayed clearly on each child as well as on the parent who would collect the children.
When collecting their children, the parent must display their check-in label.
Do I have to make a booking to attend a church service?
No, you don't need to book a seat. Seating will be provided on a first come, first served basis. Physical distanced seating is available in the auditorium with assistance by our ushers. In the event auditorium seating is filled, for your we will have additional seating available.
How will seating work?
We will have available seating in 5 additional services.
May I attend any of the weekend services?
The experience will still be 75min and we will make time to ensure the venues are cleaned and sanitized properly.
You may attend the service of your choice, however, we want to have an equal spread of attendance over all three services to avoid turning people away due to filled capacity.
Which of the two morning services should I attend?
To have an equal spread of attendance over both morning services, we want you to consider attending the second service at 10:30 am if you can, where you will enjoy the same worship experience as in the first service. We would need a few people to migrate for now to the second service. We want you to have a great experience in both services.
What if the venue is already full by the time I arrive?
People who arrive after the venue has reached capacity will be directed to the phase 4 parking, which would serve as a waiting area for the next service.
Will the temperature of every person be measured?
No, but we will do random temperature checks, so we ask for your patience in this regard.
What if someone displays any symptoms related to the Covid-19 virus?
Our first responder team will isolate any person displaying symptoms and assist them.
What sanitization measures will be in place?
Hand-sanitizing stations will be available at all entrances, toilets and throughout all public areas.
All auditoriums will be sanitized between services, including the seats, handles, stage and equipment.
No clipboards or surface contact.
All counters will be cleaned frequently.
What about face masks?
Everyone attending the service will be required to wear a face mask or suitable covering. In order to help facilitate a safe environment to worship, our staff and Dream Team will be wearing face masks as they serve.
What if I am considered “high-risk”?
If you or someone in your family is considered “high-risk” for severe illness, we encourage you to continue worshipping with us online.
What if I arrive late?
If we reach capacity at a service, we will re-direct you to Phase 4 parking until we can accommodate you at the next service.
Will you check my temperature?
In addition to the other precautions we are taking, we will do random temperature checks throughout the mall.
Will the restaurants and vendors in the CFC Mall be open?
Yes, some of the restaurants and vendors will be open.
I have children and I want to attend, but I am not comfortable to leave them as Children’s World yet?
We are providing two Family Rooms where parents can sit with their children.
What if I don't feel comfortable attending in person yet?
We completely understand, and we want you to feel comfortable. We invite you to worship with us online via our livestream platforms every Sunday at 8:30 am and 5:00 pm.
If any of the following applies to you, please worship with us online:
• In the last 14 days you have tested positive, been experiencing symptoms, or have a known exposure to COVID-19.
• If you are in a “high-risk” group, or you care for someone who may be at “high-risk” for severe illness.

Prayer is our first response, not our last resort. We’re comforted and empowered knowing we serve a miracle-working God who is an ever-present help in times of trouble (Psalm 46:1). Ask the Holy Spirit to open your eyes and show you how to pray for those on the front lines, at high risk, and in great need.
We’d love to pray for you and your needs. Ask for prayer or text PRAYER to 49991 and our prayer team will pray for you specifically throughout the week.
We encourage you to join us on the CFC Johannesburg Facebook Page every morning at 8am for a time of prayer and to read the notes in order to understand why we do this, and the power behind it.
September 21 Days of Prayer: 21 Days of Prayer is a time where we intentionally seek God every day in prayer as we believe for Him to move in powerful ways. We’d love for you to join us in a season of prayer and fasting, beginning 7th September.
Serve + Give
Our Welfare Teams are mobilizing across the city to partner with local food banks, schools, and organisations to maximize the efforts to serve the people in our communities. To join the Dream Team, take your next step and join the Growth Track.
Because of your generosity, we’re able to operate our finances in a way that allows us to give without hesitation in times of need and crisis. That’s exactly what we’re doing now and will continue to do. If you feel led to financially be a part of our COVID-19 outreach efforts, you may give here.
Although we are physically distant from each other right now, it is so important to stay relationally and spiritually connected. Our Small Groups are currently meeting online and we’d love to help you join a group today.
To connect to a group, please send an email to email@example.com. For more information on Small Groups at CFC, visit our Small Groups page.
The Growth Track happens every month on four consecutive weekends, starting with Step One on the first weekend of every month. We invite you to jump in at any time.
You can do the Growth Track either in-person or online by visiting the CFC Growth Track Page.
If you’re in a position to be able to serve, we’ll keep you updated with opportunities.
While we exercise wisdom in keeping ourselves and our loved ones safe, we know that divine health and protection is from Jesus. Let’s continue to trust in His promises of protection in Psalm 91 for ourselves, our families, and all those who are affected by illness and pray that the virus will be contained and conquered.
Because you have made the Lord, who is my refuge, even the Most High, your dwelling place, no evil shall befall you, nor shall any plague come near your dwelling.
